"fear is not brevity; it's longevity"
-mark crwr spring '10

for a couple weeks, i've been feeling l o s t. i thought i was done with this feeling first year of college, but i guess if you push away the problems without really dealing with them, they'll come back and demand answers -- fast.

i admit, i'm still not sure what i'm going to do after graduation. i only have aspirations that i'm a bit fearful to try. failure as its way of paralyzing you.
but no more.

last night i went to my school's spring semester creative writing reading night. after listening to my fellow writers and classmates' work read aloud, it gave me that umph i've been missing and l o n g i n g. their caliber of talent have given me the courage to dive head first into fulfilling my dreams as a writer.
andrea purvey, kwantlen's creative writing guild leader and fellow classmate said something on the lines of "we may only talk in class or on our online courses to one another, but it's great to have this writing community. we understand this crazy writer's life we live, and it's comforting to know that you're not alone."

i'm s c a r e d, but with the help of God and my supportive family and friends, i'm going to face fear and look at it in the eyes.
sure, fear is longevity, but i think it's time i cut down its life expectancy.
